Cellar of the Soul - Repost with Music Added

Cellar of the Soul

Dingy, dusty cellar of the soul
Why hast thou neglected it so?
Totally surrounded by darkness
At least some light remains
Reach inward once again
And find the source of that light
Lest darkness overtake what remains
Fear not the darkness, for it is weak
Let your light brightly shine for all to see
For then you'll see the darkness has no choice but to flee

The Child Within - United Friends Challenge #60

UNITED FRIENDS CHALLENGE #60

Mysticalmistress' Challenge

write about the child within each of us.

The Child Within

In each of us a small child lives

Wide eyed and full of wonder

Seeing things we cannot see

That adults put asunder

Sometimes children, though, do have

Unre-a-listic fears

Of things that they don't understand

And this brings them to tears

Sometimes they're cruel to other folks

Because of some silly pride

Even the shadows they sometimes fear

So they will just run and hide

When the child who's deep inside

brings out your pride and fears

Reach deep inside with loving arms

And wipe away childish tears

Let the child know that you're an adult

And you'll keep it safe and warm

And that you're now strong and will protect

The child from any harm

Once you've done this and done it well

Very soon you will see

The wide-eyed world of wonder

That was meant for you and me

The Man In the Mirror - UNITED FRIENDS CHALLENGE #118

Rjamp's Challenge

Write a short story or poem on your inner weakness (or inner demons). Using this statment to start it...
I look in the mirror and I see ....

The Man In the Mirror

When I was young
I took a look
And what there did I see?

I saw things that
I didn't like
Some things inside of me

I then resolved
To make things right
To change from the inside

Now I'm always
Who I am
And never need to hide

If you don't like
The man you see
When you look at me

Perhaps you need
To take a look
At what's inside of thee

For when I gaze
In silvered glass
I'm pleased at what I see

For now the man
I truly am
Is staring back at me

The Rarest Flower

The Rarest Flower

Walking through a garden of beautiful flowers
Each one full of color and beauty
I come upon one very special flower
Like none other on this earth
Rare and beautiful
As if from the stars beyond
I bend to smell it and admire its beauty more closely
Suddenly, I recognize the flower
It is the flower of my heart
The one that makes my soul sing
It impresses its beauty on my heart and soul
With it I am transformed
The flower and I have become one

The Purest Gold

The Purest Gold

Purified by fire seven times
Every impurity seared from within
Leaving only the purest of gold
Shining more brightly than the sun
Goodness and mercy endure
Leaving only purest
Love

The Warning

The Warning
by Cal Jennings

Photobucket

If you should cause one I love harm
You shall be blown like ant from arm
No place shall you be safe and free
Never look back, or you'll find me
No weapon will be strong enough
To protect you from a fate so rough
Nor through time can you escape
I'll be there, too, thou simple ape
No price too high or distance far
No iron gates, nor supercar
Shall let you escape fast enough
Punishment severe, unkind, rough
No cries to Kr'shna, nor Allah will save
Your punk posterior, I'll enslave
I'll torture your mind, body, and soul
No demon god will make you whole
Scorpion stings upon your flesh
Your heart will pump, your tongue will thresh
Then with pliers, your tongue pulled out,
Shall justice punish your evil clout
As you scream unearthly cries
Honey and ants go in your eyes
In your ears, your privates as well
Let you experience your own evil hell
That you have forced on one I love
This only a start from hand of my glove
Within the pit the pendulum swings
One notch closer, it clunks and sings
Its shiny razor in candlelight glitters
Closer and closer it swings and jitters
As river rats tear your ghastly skin
Some candiru to spine from within
Each lash you've given, each threat you spoke
Taken in account for your punishment, bloke
No voodoo spell nor evil eye
Shall protect you from justice's cry
More torture shall your soul endure
Than you thought possible from the pure
Your soul into a black hole cast
It's searing heat, your soul will lash
Existing for eternity
In a place it cannot flee
Many punishments I've left out
I'll let your mind wonder and doubt
But know that volumes do exist
For each lash given, not one shall be missed
Your flesh shall be ripped from your face
And each and every private place
These warnings, heed, I do implore
If you think Braveheart suffered, you're wrongly sore
A warning I give only once
Especially to abusive runts
If you think these words seem sad
Just don't anger me, I'm not even mad

The October Moon - Halloween Poem

The October Moon

october, moon

Daylight turns to darkness

The full moon rises slowly

A passionate golden orb

The sound of wolves howling

Permeates the air

Sounds of wings flapping

The young maiden shivers

In the night air

Chills run down her spine

Before her, materializing

A visitor in the night

Taking human form

vampire, halloween

"Look into my eyes,

You are getting sleepy,

Don't be afraid,

I only vant your blood."

Hypnotic trance takes over

Passion fills her veins

Heart pumping madly

Head tilts back slowly

Exposing her naked neck

He sinks in his fangs

Vampire Background Pictures, Images and Photos

Drinking needed life blood

Satisfies his hunger

His strength returning to him

He takes her in his arms

Lays her on the ground

She gives herself openly

He fills her with throbbing warmth

Passionate moans echo

All throughout the night

Lying on the grass

Loving arms embracing

Until the morning sun

Starts to break the night

He leaves her yearning

Completely exhausted

As he flies skyward

Vampire Pictures, Images and Photos

Back into his coffin

He spends another day

Until the moon rises

Again
