The Sound of Silence - Poem

The Sound of Silence

Gregorian Chants - Masters of Chant - The Sound of Silence.mp3 - Gregorian Chant

The deafening sound of silence
Crashes all around me
I scream out to break the silence
But no one hears me
Aching with the stillness
Of the day
Of the wind
Of the emptiness
Longing to hear the voice of another
Yet, no one is to be found
I sit alone in abandonment
Wondering when the stillness will end
Even my feelings are empty
My heart is still
Feeling vacant
I turn to write
But nothing proceeds
From my empty fingers
My mind is void of thought
My heart is void of love
My soul hoovers outside my body
Like a humming bird who lost its way
Billions of people
Yet all of them mindless
Of the millions of voices
Crying out in despair
Then suddenly silenced
By uncaring hearts
Too busy to facilitate
Anything but their own desires
All of them asleep

Locomotion - Poem

Locomotion

I run my fingers over her circular wheels

I crawl into her cab

I stoke the flames of her firebox

Boiler pressure slowly rises

Her saturated steam building

Until it cries to be released

I cock the lever

A slow, circular rotation begins

The piston starts sliding in and out of her cylinder

Gradually, locomotion begins

Her wheels start spinning

Reciprocating faster and faster

Steam huffing and puffing

Boiler pressure reaches critical

At last, her whistle moans in the night

The reciprocation slows

As the destination is reached

Magic Snow - Poem

Magic Snow

Many tears have fallen
Snow clouds turned to rain
Lonileness and heartbreak
Have been such a drain

Sore abuse and mischief
Plagued us through our life
For you, by your husband
For me, by my wife

We've both been through heartache
But we began to grow
You finally said, "I love you"
And the rain turned into snow

Spring Calls - Poem

Spring Calls

bee polenating,flower danni

Spring calls the bees

Their stingers erect

Searching out nectar

Now flowing freely

Scents fill the air

Wings are buzzing

Sounds of humming

Vibrations oscillating

Throughout nature

Pollination occurring

Hearts beating

Life renewing

A new era is born

Life continues

The October Moon - Halloween Poem

The October Moon

october, moon

Daylight turns to darkness

The full moon rises slowly

A passionate golden orb

The sound of wolves howling

Permeates the air

Sounds of wings flapping

The young maiden shivers

In the night air

Chills run down her spine

Before her, materializing

A visitor in the night

Taking human form

vampire, halloween

"Look into my eyes,

You are getting sleepy,

Don't be afraid,

I only vant your blood."

Hypnotic trance takes over

Passion fills her veins

Heart pumping madly

Head tilts back slowly

Exposing her naked neck

He sinks in his fangs

Vampire Background Pictures, Images and Photos

Drinking needed life blood

Satisfies his hunger

His strength returning to him

He takes her in his arms

Lays her on the ground

She gives herself openly

He fills her with throbbing warmth

Passionate moans echo

All throughout the night

Lying on the grass

Loving arms embracing

Until the morning sun

Starts to break the night

He leaves her yearning

Completely exhausted

As he flies skyward

Vampire Pictures, Images and Photos

Back into his coffin

He spends another day

Until the moon rises

Again

Colors bursting...Into the Night

Colors bursting...Into the Night

Fireworks
Photo and title by Danni

Colors bursting into the night
As the cosmos reaches inside
Where there's no desire to run
And no desire to hide

Colors rich and vibrant
Move throughout the soul
Expanding into an aura
Of rainbow love that's whole

Shining bright for all to see
So they can learn love too
By list'ning to the music
The universe sends you

If we sing together
In perfect harmony
All the world can live in peace
And all the world be free

Saturday Alone

Saturday Alone

Saturday night
all alone
Nothing to do, no one to phone
Busted ankle holding me back
Heaven's cutting me no slack
Computer dying, TV dead
Someone shoot me in the head
I'm bored, as bored as bored can be
No ideas coming to stimulate me
So I sit here at the screen
Typing here and feeling mean
Nothing better to do anyway
I'm not in the mood to watch others play
